Goodbyes and lots of tears

We all agree, seeing our old missionaries depart to home is a heart tugging experience. They are great missionaries and we will miss them so much. Good bye and have a wonderful life, " 'til we meet again".

A short visit to the hospital

Sometimes our missionaries get sick and need medical attention, fortunately it's very uncommon. Elder Gonzalez in the bed being fed and pampered by Elder Falcon on his right and his companion Elder Boisado and Elder Christensen on his left. Also, Sister Packer his Mission nurse checking up on him. With all that attention is there any wonder he healed quickly and was back to work in a few days?

Training meeting for our "newbies"

Sometimes when our new missionaries come to the mission, they come 1 or 2 or more at a time, and rather than have many small training meetings, we will wait and have one big training meeting. This is one of those training meetings with our newest missionaries and their companions. President says they are a really good group of missionaries.

Our little Thanksgiving Feast

What are we grateful for in Mission Mendoza? So many things it is difficult to count, the Lord has blessed us so much in so many ways. But for a few hours last Saturday, we were very grateful for a beautiful Thanksgiving turkey on our office table, thanks to President Avila who in spite of the cost, made sure we had our turkey, unfortunately only the office Elders were able to enjoy it, and that they did.

The beauty of Mendoza

Everyday we see how beautiful our Mendoza Mission is and I thought we should share some of those sights with others, so here's a few.

Cerro de la Gloria

Elder T. Frost and Elder Tingey ran all the way up to the San Martin monument on Pday at least a 2 mile run to see this beautiful sculpture in North West Mendoza next to one of the largest parks in Mendoza which also contains the Mendoza Zoo. From this viewpoint you can look out and see the entire city of Mendoza.
